Our story
Wood & Wool Construction is a remodeling and building company in Eugene and Portland, built around craft and the conditions that let it flourish. A great build comes from total focus on the work in front of you, joints that fit, lines that hold, details that are dialed, and that focus only happens when nothing is pulling against it. So Chris and Ryan resolve everything else first. Costs, expectations, selections, and how it all goes together are settled before the build begins, which means that once it does, there are no interruptions to work around or decisions left hanging. The craftsperson isn't wondering where the next piece is coming from or whether the client will like what's going in. They already know. Every bit of attention goes into execution, and it shows in the result.
That deliberateness serves the client as much as the work. A project with its costs and scope pinned down early gets built the way the client pictured it, without the surprises that throw the usual job off course. And because a remodel is disruptive by nature, they work to keep it from feeling that way, with clean sites, steady communication, and as little stress as construction allows. The client gets exactly what they wanted, and a genuinely good experience getting there.
Wood & Wool is the work of two friends. Chris and Ryan have known each other since seventh grade and built together for the better part of a decade, starting on custom tiny homes and growing into custom homes and full remodels. The name nods at how they see the work, the structure and the materials both, with a quiet belief that building can be healthier and more natural when a project has the room for it. It's rarely the headline of a bathroom remodel, but it's part of how they think.
Chris Pabon - Co-Owner, Project Supervisor
Chris is the craftsman, with a decade of carpentry behind him and a knack for figuring out whatever a build demands and mastering it. On site, that shows up as work done with precision and care, the kind that holds up to a close look.
Ryan Knightly - Co-Owner, Project Manager
Ryan runs the planning and the throughline with clients, from first walkthrough to final day. His focus is clear communication and the up-front rigor that keeps a project organized, on track, and free of the surprises that derail the usual job.
